The Joys of Trail Running (Outdoor Enthusiast)

The Joys of Trail Running (Outdoor Enthusiast)

I guess I must have been trail running since the first moment I tied the laces to a pair of running shoes. However, it wasn’t until I left the army and began to enter trail races did I really see trail running for all its glory. So this is a piece about what makes trail running special, making particular mention to a race I did called Race to the Stones along the Ridgeway National Trail.

The piece was published in the Autumn 2013 issue of Outdoor Enthusiast magazine.
