Always back up your work – or learn the hard way

The realisation that your web site has been hacked is akin to discovering that your house has been burgled.  You feel violated, annoyed, shocked, surprised and then resigned to the fact that it’s happened and there ain’t nothing you can do about it now.

However, what’s even worse is when you discover that the last time you backed up your site was several years ago – the situation yours truly found himself in, when my web host suspended my account, leaving me in a bit of a pickle.  4 years worth of work, blogging, late nights, etc down the drain.  Depressing is a word!

However, this has also given me an opportunity to do a bit of spring cleaning.  So, please bear with me whilst I put my site back together.  It’s going to be a bit of a manual process, but it’s got to be done.
